PWR Health Consultants, Inc.

No more victims.

Our story

PWR Health Consultants, Inc. was established in 1989 by Dr. Lisa Doupe to champion her belief that prevention, wellness, and rehabilitation should be institutionalized in the policies of both the public and private sectors. She saw that the needs of individuals with disabilities, illnesses, or injuries were not being adequately met by the systems of the day and took action.

In the early days of PWR, Dr. Doupe was instrumental in developing two landmark policies regarding the role of physicians in return to work decisions. As a result of her efforts, PWR became established as a recognized leader in the design and implementation of programs that enable individuals who are ill, injured, or disabled to return to life activity and return to work in a safe and timely manner.

Through the mobilization of leadership and the creation of dynamic partnerships, PWR Health Consultants Inc. implements effective strategies to improve the health of individuals and the communities in which they live. Over the years, although the focus has shifted, the underlying principles which set PWR apart in the industry remain the same and are reflected in its acronym: Prevention, Wellness, and Rehabilitation.

PWR integrates these guiding principles with diagnosis and treatment, the traditional skills of a physician. This is combined with a feedback loop from adverse outcomes to prevention; or as Dr. Doupe likes to say, "Out of bad data comes good information."

Today, PWR Health Consultants, Inc. is an industry leader in Forensic Psychotherapy, specializing in the treatment of high-risk behaviors including sexual offending. PWR's innovative approach to treatment brings together brain science and effective clinical interventions to prevent relapse, promote wellness, and facilitate rehabilitation.
